I want to thank the ladies of Mateos (Espescially you gals in pedicure room!)for making my 50th Birthday the most memorable day for me and my guests.


Have been a regular at Mateos Salon for about a year. I have had very good service and enjoy the ladies (and Ruben) so much. I had been to a couple of the other upscale salons in the area and I can say the prices and services are great.

We went to have a relaxing day at the spa and the first impression of the ladies at the front desk was AWFUL. Very unfriendly and rude. When we were done it was even worse. I was using a gift cert. other wise we would have WALKED OUT AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE WOULD NEVER GO BACK DUE TO THE FRONT DESK PEOPLE. You go to be pampered you should not walk out feeling like you wished you wouldn't have walked in. The manager Jeanna is really bad, she has no idea on how to handle problems and doesn't want toAND SHE IS NO TRUTHFUL, that is a turn off to have someone lie to you. She also is very ugly and rude. Our massage and facial was good but I feel sorry for the girls in the back when you don't have a fuzzy feeling when you walk in, the girls suffer in the back. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER!!!!!!! If you ever had a good experience and a geat pedicure, massage, manicure, facial you would not go back here. The money would be better used somewhere else.


I have had a lot of stress in my life lately as I'm sure we all have. I spent the day today at Mateos Day Spa and oh what a relaxing day, just what I needed. Now, I don't usually spend this kind of time on myself, but I am hooked.
The day started with very friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. The waiting area was like a cozy lodge. The first person to come greet me was my massage therapist. She was very sweet and what an amazing massage. The facial was very relaxing, I almost fell asleep. During my manicure and pedicure, I met a really nice mother and daughter who were enjoying the day together. The technicians were so much fun and friendly that we all laughed and joked like I was another daughter.
From the beginning to the end, it was a restful and relaxing escape from my very stressful life.
I will return again and this time I am bringing my mom.


I was a new customer. Made an appointment for a microderm. Met with their "doctor/nurse"? I don't think so. My consultant convinced me i needed an expensive laser treatment. I was suckered in and the result was a face full of blisters that caused me to miss a week of work. NOT THEIR PROBLEM. I went to a dermatologist who said the laser was not administered correctly. This should NOT have happened. Mateo's treated me like something must be wrong with ME. Their front desk people are rude, Mateo's wouldn't give me a refund for the actual treatment and my next stop is an attorney. Maybe they are great with spa/massage/pedi's - i don't know and will never find out. Don't get suckered into their sales pitch - or the agony as a result of their inept staff.


You pay a lot of money for a great experience. I feel bad for the staff because the first impression people are awful. I cannot believe I went back a second time and I will not make that mistake again. When I checked in it was COLD to say the least. No hello, no welcome but just a loud...LAST NAME?..then I was "pointed" to find a door that was out of site and told to go in on my own and find the lobby. I was nervous as to what door to enter and then when I found it I took a turn and went to the wrong spot.
After paying $375.00 for my daughter and I you would think the lady at the desk would at least say hello and take me to the mystery room instead of being lazy and expecting customers to find it on their own. So of course I already had a bad taste in my mouth from the start.
I gave the three stars so I could at least give credit to the massage staff who did great. They are doing a great job but losing business because of the burnt out knucklehead at the desk. Hope the owner reads this. Time for a change at your front line employees cause they are not helping you out.


I have had about six massages here now. Loved everyone. Had 2 pedicures, both were A+ . Purchased my sister and sister in law gift cards, they loved the spa.


Had the Great Escape from my husband. Usually buys Day Spa gifts. This was my favorite spa so far. I like a more Western style and this was great. Services great, people who did my services all darling.


I had heard people say that they enjoyed going to Mateos over the years, but frankly, it did not look like much from driving by, so I never did stop in. When my therapists from another spa canceled on me, I went in for a massage. BIG surprise! Affordable and quality quality! Really have to say it is the nicest Spa I have been to.


We all had a delightful day. My sister and mom want to make it our annual event.This Spa really is a true gem.Thank you Mateos.


Went 3 times to date, ran across this site and decided they deserved a review! Had the works 1st time, I arrived 15 minutes late and they were completely accomadating and did not even mention me being late. 2nd time had a massage and pedicure. (loved Tricia had her first time also) 3rd time had tuscan wine massage and facial. Every time was great. People very polite and skilled.


I have been a client of Skin Savvy & Mateos since before they moved to their Delmonico address. I obviously love the service and quality. I am also handicapped and they are always willing to accommodate and are very professional. I am always complimented on my skin and then I am asked what my secret is. There is no secret, it is the staff and products from Mateos Salon and Skin Savvy. I can't thank them enough. It is so nice to go home to a reunion or just to visit relatives and friends that you haven't seen in a while, and they go crazy over my skin. It is truely "Priceless". I can't say enough about Mateos and Skin Savvy. It doesn't matter your age or gender, there is something for everyone and their gift certificates are an awesome way to say "Thank You" to someone special.


I am a massage therapist and was recently on vaction in Colorado Springs... after reading the reviews for Mateos I decided on getting some much needed massage (and a little pampering). I started with a hot stone massage with Leslie and she was Awesome!!! I highly recommend her, she is knowledgeable and knows how to give a great deep tissue massage, She was so great that I booked an hour and a half with her two days later when I was going back for my manicure and pedicure which were given by a girl named Natasha who did a great job too! The atmosphere was great and I higly recommend mateos

I went to Mateos for a haircut and was very pleased. I received a gift for a day at the spa and have several services done. I was really impressed and had a great time.


First found Mateos through this site. Stayed at the Marriot in Colorado Springs and asked the front desk about them, and they said that is where they recommend their guests. The Marriot shuttled me down. I had a wonderful massage and pedicure. Very first class place. Skipped out on my meetings the next day to go back. Had a shampoo and style in the salon and purchased gifts for my daughter and some really fun candles (very good selection of gifts there) I will be a regular there if we decide to relocate to Colorado.


Treated my neice and Aunt for graduation festivities to a day of spa treatments. Had a memorable, perfect day. Massage A-1. Pedicure and manicure A-1. Had a superb facial(usually not a facial lover) The spa has the smells and surroundings you would find in a resort.


I was so looking forward to my first visit here. It was a special combined Mother's Day/Birthday event. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, but the people were rather standoffish. The pedicure was pretty good, but I was disappointed in the manicure. Having had regular manicures at other places for more than 3 years, I was suprised that this manicure chipped the first day. Maybe it was because they watered down the polish with remover instead of getting a fresh bottle. This place has the potential for being good--I just wish their customer service was a little more responsive.


I would NEVER recommend Mateos to anyone. Went there for the first time last week. Had a manicure and pedicure. Attendant was pleasant but I have never had a manicure where the polish peeled off of each nail all in one piece and only on ONE hand within 24 hours. When contact was made to them they basicly said "Not our problem" and gave a lame excuse like "polish is affected by lots of things like temperature." Didn't know that there is such a temperature change from one hand to the other.

They could have really used this to win over a new customer, but instead I intend to tell everyone I know about their poor customer service.


Whenever I have an really bad day, I turn to this place. It is the warm fuzzies. The best massage I ever had every time. The best pedicures also.
