This store specializes in hard to fit feet like my husbands wide load variety. So it caters to those that have a hard time finding shoes that fit and paying a lot of money when they do. They have a limited selection of shoes comparatively speaking and they are expensive.

I bought some shoes for $188 and returned them the next day. They were not worn. I was aware of their outradgeous return policy of only store credit. They gave me a small receipt for the store credit and they kept a copy.Six months later I returned to use the store credit. I only had my credit card receipt and didn't have their receipt. They could have just looked it up from their copy and verified the credit. They said I HAD to have my store credit receipt in order to get some shoes.

This store would not give a refund on Saturday for shoes that were ordered by phone (not yet picked up) on Friday night! I ended up with store credit and had a REALLY hard time finding something else. This was after buying 3 other pair of shoes from them on Friday. No sense of customer appreciation at all!!! Additionally, many, many of their shoes are discontinued styles and brands, all sold at an elevated FULL PRICE. I was appalled! Will never set foot in this store again.

These guys are supposed to makes shoes to order, or at least fit you with a pair to help your arches and heels, but they don't! The are over priced and over rated. I bought shoes from them for over $200.00 and the problems with my feet were worse than ever. When I went back I was told I just had to get used to them. After two years, they never fit properly.

I am in awe of this shoe store! I Found it in the phone book and I am soooo glad I did! I walked in with feet problems and many other issues and concerns. Let me tell you after I left I was like a new woman! The whole experience at Republic Shoes was 5 stars in my book. No shoe store has ever been able to help me with my horrible feet problems until now. I have been in and out of other shoe stores for many years and was going to possibly have foot surgery. I am glad I waited because having good quality shoes and the proper fit, really did improve my feet. Take it from me. I would of never believed it myself but it is true, I went into Republic Shoes in pain and discomfort and left with a smile on my face and on my feet. I will continue to go back to Republic Shoes for all of my shoe needs.....They also have great handbags:) I love knowing that when I go into Republic Shoes I don't need to worry about a thing, they have everything covered. I don't generally brag about stores, but REPUBLIC SHOES is hands down the best shoe store I have ever been to!

Look no further! This is it guys and gals:) I recently found out about this shoe store from a friend of mine. I have lived in Denver nearly my whole life and just now found out about this Awesome Shoe Store! I bought several great men's shoes in my SIZE. YES THEY HAD MY SIZE!!! I wear size 17 in men's shoes....sometimes I can wear size 16. Republic Shoes had my size and different choices to choose from. The help I received was great and they measured my foot to make sure I was fitted properly. I feel so lucky. I was never able to find shoes in my size that I liked or that was in stock, I always had to special order shoes I did not like and I had no idea if they would fit? I am done searching, Republic Shoes is "MY" new shoe store....I think everyone should check them out, you won't be disappointed! Great location and easy parking. No more fighting with mall traffic and parking spots.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by professional and courteous salesmen! The selection is amazing and to top it off they have every size and every width in STOCK! I can't tell you how many times I have been to different shoe stores or department stores and have to help myself and answer my own questions as if I work there. If I wanted them to measure my foot, they would look at me as if I was a tourist speaking a foreign language. Not at Republic Shoes, they answered every question I had, measured my feet and helped me try on all of the shoes that I picked out. Every one is entitled to their own opinion, but I read the rating about the "bad return policy" and disagree with that comment and rating. When I am on a mission about buying shoes I want three things, good service, big selection, and knowledgeable salesmen.....period. I have been a customer of Republic Shoes for years now and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else to buy my shoes.

If you buy shoes here, be very sure you love them, especially if you have hard-to-fit feet. They actually specialize in the hard to fit, but if you get home, wear them indoors for an hour to test them, and find out they hurt, don't expect to return them for a refund. They will give you a store credit - BUT the remaining selection may not be to your liking, and then the clock starts ticking. I came back 3 times during the 12 months following my cursed purchase and didn't like anything. I finally bought a pair I didn't love just to use the darn credit. And wouldn't you know, I still had $20 left over in credit and they still wouldn't give me even that amount! Plus I found the same exact pair at another store for $20 less (not on sale)!!

Bottom line. Limited selection of quality shoes that are overpriced AND a bad return policy. Shop Nordstrom instead. So much for trying to support a small local business.
